Alan Sonfist Announcing Plans to Create New Site-Specific Environmental Sculpture Park at Collect Pond

Now hidden under concrete, Collect Pond was one of the main water sources for Lower Manhattan in New York City’s early history. The proposed fountain represents a scale model of the original pond. The entire surrounding park will reference the natural history of the site.
